Review by Bobby Nashville

I always liked Alf, but after watching Permanent Midnight, I realize that Alf was basically the Muppets on drugs. And that's not a bad idea when you think about it.

Alf purists have come out against this DVD because it reportedly contains the edited, syndicated version. But as far as I can tell, these episodes (along with the DVD for season one) are the only ones available - so enjoy them while you can.

As most everyone knows, Alf was furry alien that was taken in by the kind Tanner family. He was nothing but a troublemaker, smart ass and comedian. The Tanner family called him Alf because it was short for Alien Life Form. Like most smartass aliens from the planet Melmac, he was lovable as all hell. He also spent alot of time trying to eat the Tanner cat.

Season two of Alf contained some very memorable episodes, my favorites being the Gilligan's Island episode and Alf's Christmas Special. Alf had a great season one and an equally stellar season two. Over all, this is a very decent collection for fans of the show.
