Although the show was technically about two private eyes that solve crimes, Moonlighting was really all about the chemistry between famed actress Cybill Shepherd and a then up and coming young actor named Bruce Willis. Willis really stole the show (in my opinion) and this was well before Die Hard, Pulp Fiction and Sin City made him a huge star.

Moonlighting was plagued with production problems (late scripts, cranky stars, etc.) and I remember the tabloids of the day making a big deal about how the two stars really did not like each other. Who knows if this was true or not, but the fact remains that Bruce and Cybill had excellent on-screen chemistry, and it shows in Moonlighting Season Three.

The first two seasons of Moonlighting teased viewers relentlessly with the "will they or won't they" aspect of the show. Moonlighting Season Three is the year that Maddie (Shepherd) and David (Willis) finally hook up and for the most part, it was worth the wait. The show pulls it off with grace and originality. However, many feel that this point was where the show "jumped the shark".

Moonlighting was known for it's witty banter and although there is plenty of that in season three, some of the episodes fall flat, especially the Rona Barret episode. However, overrall, this was a decent season for Moonlighting. Of course, the fact that Maddie and David hook up makes this a must own (for fans of the show).
